The Libertarian Party recently nominated former Republican Congressman Bob Barr as their presidential nominee. This nomination represents a compromise of the principles that the Libertarian Party used to stand for.

H.R. 1955 has passed the House with a vote of 405 to 6 and is headed to the Senate. This bill will have a chilling effect on bloggers, political activists, protestors, grass roots campaigners... anyone who would consider any use of "force" to motivate change.

The debt collection industry has grown sharply this year as higher borrowing costs and the fallout from the credit crisis force more companies and individuals into difficulties, according to figures due out on Tuesday. The size of the industry has almost tripled since 2003, growing from £8.6bn ($17.7bn) of debt sold on to professional collection agencies to £22.7bn by the end of this year. It is also forecast to grow to £24.1bn by the end of next year.

There are many today that have become accustomed to living in servitude. The systems of control are layers upon layers, so much so that the average Joe would rather succumb to it than to fight it. I have taken a hard look at these control mechanisms; we are living in a matrix of constant manipulation. We need to deeply examine it and ourselves if we are ever going to free ourselves from it. Let us go now into the rabbit hole.

Mexican drug traffickers send about 10 billion U.S. dollars of laundered drug money to U.S. banks each year, Mexico's top prosecutor said Tuesday. Attorney General Eduardo Medina said in Congress that about 1 billion dollars is sent to Mexico from U.S. banks each year, but up to 16 billion is returned to the U.S., about 10 billion of which "could be attributed to the flow of drug trafficking money."

India today joined the elite group of world's five biggest holders of foreign exchange reserves as it added about 4.5 billion dollars last week to take the kitty to 261 billion dollars.
