Submitted by MichaelVail on Fri, 04/18/2008 - 6:01pm.
Police expect protests but few problems when the two-day North American Leaders Summit gets under way Monday in New Orleans.
It's VIP duty as President Bush, Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper get together to talk trade. But for the New Orleans Police Department, it's more of the same in a a string of high-profile, crowd-generating events early in 2008.
Condoleezza Rice Meets With NAU Ministers
Submitted by MichaelVail on Tue, 04/08/2008 - 6:08pm.
Good morning. I am pleased to welcome my colleagues, the Foreign Minister* of Mexico, Foreign Minister* Espinosa and the Foreign Minister of Canada, Foreign Minister Bernier, to this meeting. We have had an opportunity to discuss a number of issues this morning, and we will continue over lunch to go further into our discussions. Obviously, the relationship between the United States, Canada and Mexico is one of the most critical from the point of view of American foreign policy. The President said very early on that a good foreign policy begins in the neighborhood, and we have no closer and more important neighbors than Canada and Mexico.

World could go to war over water, says Barlow
Submitted by MichaelVail on Thu, 11/08/2007 - 8:11pm.
Water shortages are no longer the exclusive concern of poor desert countries, and unless we change course dramatically, the entire world could go to war over water.
This was the message of Maude Barlow, National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians, in Montreal Monday night as part of a national tour for her new book, Blue Covenant: The Global Water Crisis and the Coming Battle for the Right to Water.

U S. Bush administration's Amero Dollar Plan may make certain personal saving and investments worthless
Submitted by MichaelVail on Fri, 08/17/2007 - 2:01am.
The Amero is not being pursued by various elite-driven "Security and Prosperity Partnership" (SPP) related interests because of alleged benefits to the general Canadian, U.S. and Mexican public. The Amero is an apparent agenda to introduce a new "continental" currency that will enable corporate elites to steal investment gains and savings from individuals.
North American Union Will Kill The Dollar
Submitted by MichaelVail on Sat, 07/28/2007 - 12:14pm.
Our latest slice of the New World Order will create a common market and currency and a “harmony of laws.” This Union, which is the brainchild of the Council for Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission in 1967, stayed on the back burner until the 80’s, gaining momentum under Reagan. It took a big jump in 2001 with the Bush/Fox “Partnership for Prosperity” and the Union now has a tri-national ministerial-level working group trying for a 2010 North American “community.”
SPP has been called "NAFTA on crack"
Submitted by MichaelVail on Tue, 07/24/2007 - 3:19am.
It's been called "NAFTA on crack," and the participants have been derided as "the Three Amigos," but you'd better start taking the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) seriously. Aimed at keeping "our borders closed to terrorism yet open to trade," according to their website, the SPP is poised to change the face of North America.
