Enter The Modification Matrix

Millions of people around the world have modified their body in some form or fashion such as tattoos and earrings but that is rather crude compared to how people will alter themselves in the very near future. These technologies will be pushed upon the youth in slick advertising campaigns which serves the transhumanist agenda. Biotechnology and Nanotechnology will be used to transcend human capabilities. This technology in the minds of those in transhuman movement will be used to usher in a ‘brave new world' that surpasses anything envisioned by Aldous Huxley or George Orwell.

Long before the movie The Matrix many scientists were developing Brain-Computer neural interfaces but right around the same time of the movie DARPA's Defense Sciences Office was working on its own model[1] [0]. The applications for this device are legion but a wireless neural BCI interface could control everything[2] [0] in your home such as the locks on your door to connecting millions of individuals together for communications inside of a virtual matrix. You are thinking to yourself right now that this technology is pretty cool right? Wrong! Before this technology was ripped from the pages of science fiction there were many nefarious[3] [0] purposes planned for its public use.

If we can easily exchange large chunks of knowledge and are connected by high bandwidth communication paths, the function and purpose served by individuals becomes unclear. Individuals have served to keep the gene pool stirred up and healthy via sexual reproduction, but this data-handling process would no longer necessarily be linked to individuals. With knowledge no longer encapsulated in individuals, the distinction between individuals and the entirety of humanity would blur. Think Vulcan mind-meld. We would perhaps become more of a hive mind -an enormous, single, intelligent entity. -National Science Foundation

If we allow this technology to be mass marketed we will be stripped of any individuality like the Borg with no plan or purpose except for serving the ruling elite. Your inner thoughts will no longer be your own. You will live under the thumb of those you most despise. This machinery could enrich the lives of everyone and we could download[4] [0] information from our brains and play back the day of our birth, our first kiss and possibly recall where we lost the car in the mall. Yet this interface will be nothing more than malware which will seep in to our minds and micro-manage us like cattle.

There are many mysteries within the human body and the mind. In many ways we are flawed creatures but the flaws are there for a reason. I don't subscribe to any organized religion but I know that I am here for a purpose and I don't want to add or take away from who I am. That may sound cryptic but the fact is that there are many who are in the highest echelons of science and engineering that wish to ‘improve'[5] [0] humans. Using genetic modification techniques and in-vitro fertilization they can cherry pick embryos and tailor them to suit the parents. What color eyes would you like? Should he or she be strong or intelligent? Do you want to know how long they will live? This is called ‘supermarket baby shopping'[6] [0] and it is going on in the United States as well as many other nations. In essence they are altering the destiny of a child even before he is born. All parents are required to do is cherish their child and raise him or her up to adulthood but for some that is not enough.

Those who are apart of the transhuman movement are using Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Neuroscience and Cognitive Science to upgrade their biological skin and muscle for cybernetic implants. Currently haptic exoskeletons, prosthetic limbs and artificial muscles exist which are 100 times[7] [0] stronger than our human parts. The ruling elite are investing heavily into life extension technologies[8] [0] so that they may life indefinitely. They will strip down their biological data to the point that all that is left is the brain which will control all the artificial parts through electric signals which is normally used to control our physical bodies. Can you imagine what a fossil like Rockefeller would be capable of if he knew that he could life forever? I shutter the very thought of it.
