The Firefox Extensions You Just Can't Live Without!

While Mozilla and Microsoft duke it out in the browser wars users just want a functional and secure browser that is very easy on resources. Personally I use Firefox and I have been using it since it was called Phoenix and we've come a long ways baby. Numerous developers have made extensions which add more features to the browser. The myriad of extensions, themes and plugins to go through may seem like a chore for new users so I have compiled a list of my favorites.

If you know of some great extensions that aren't on this list then please add your comments. Firefox gets better and better, my only complaint is that Firefox 2.0 seems to chew up a lot of ram and if you have 10 or more tabs open forget about it. The cpu goes through the roof. There is not another browser out there to my knowledge that is anywhere near as great as Firefox and I've tried many of them.

Michael Vail's favorite extensions:

Adblock Plus - This should be built in to Firefox, it filters banners, flash ads and so much more! **excellent**

Filterset.G Updater - My favorite adblock list that is now auto updating

Cookiesafe - Block all the cookies and accept only the bare minimum, also good for extending the time on cookies and protecting them.

Download Statusbar - Manage your downloads from the status bar

Foxyproxy - A must if you use privoxy/tor to anonymize your web browsing

OpenSearchFox - You can add your own searches to the firefox search bar. So visitors to Thought-Criminal can search for an article with ease. **excellent**

Passwordmaker - Create secure passwords and autologins **excellent**

Reloadevery - Tired of hitting refresh every few minutes to check if a site has updated?

RIP(Remove it permanently) - Are you tired of seeing some part of a site that you don't use. RIP It!

Tab Mix Plus - Tab browsing at its finest! **excellent**

Wizz RSS Feed - All you email guys need to start using RSS **excellent**
